ILM: Star Wars

In 2013, leading up to the production of Star Wars: the Force Awakens, ILM and Disney were building, defining and setting boundaries to the Star Wars universe. Struggling to get the right feel, they asked a number of artists from around the world to help them pinpoint the ‘Star Wars quality’ of the original trilogy.
We were asked to write or re-write a scene taking place somewhere between the beginning of a New Hope and the end of Return of the Jedi, using only existing elements.
As a-typical a commission, besides it it allowing me to explore working methods and viewing points I had never tried before. as a profound Star Wars fan, this was pure bliss.
